Name: Jonas (also goes by "Reaper")
Age: One year, autumn 2019
Gender: Male
Genetics: [Border Collie x Irish Wolfhound x Catahoula Leopard Dog x Smooth Collie] x [Border Collie x Mudi x Labrador Retriever x Australian Shepherd]
Pack: Loner
Personality:
Pious: Everything that happens in Jonas' life is based on faith to one god whom he calls Arktos, the guardian. He does not eat, does not sleep, and does not breathe without thinking of what the guardian may have in store for him. Every breath and action has some sort of prayer behind it, motivation based in what he believes Arktos wants him to do. Should the thought of the god not pass his mind, he will punish himself for doing something so horrible and stupid, and the results are often grim.
Zoophilic: Jonas always used to like animals. That's how he was as a kid, at least. It was a healthy admiration then. He just used to watch the birds and the rats and think about how nice it was to be them. Now he has an unhealthy, "cleansing" relationship with the animals. Arktos says that only some are right and that those are the only ones that should be eaten to keep the taint from spreading further. Those other ones should be killed so that nobody else should eat them. The bones of clean animals he keeps as decoration.
Warped: In the beginning, Jonas' relationship with religion was that of a loving god who was looking down on them. Now he has come to believe that he is the sole clean soul in the world and that everybody else has become corrupted. He has gone so far to believe that they were the reason the volcano erupted before his birth, that a cataclysmic event would rock the world to show dogkind that they needed to atone but that he was born because they still had not done anything and were, in fact, becoming even more wrong with their ways.
Vigilante: As an extension of that, Jonas believes that he was put on earth because he needed to convince everybody that they needed to become better individuals if anything would happen. He takes this load upon himself with great ease and will not let anybody else help him in the herculean task of fixing this all out. Instead he believes that they are not clean enough to convince anybody to go to his side, and that they would not be able to handle the physical toll of walking from place to place and the mental toll of dealing with so much anguish. This is why he calls himself Reaper, reaping the good grain from the bad.
Bloody: The only way to purification, according to Jonas, is through severe physical pain. He will often corner a victim who has been considered unclean and then mutilate them until all of the impurity has drained from them, frequently with copious amounts of gore and screaming. The same thing goes with his treatment of animals. Without pain, he says, there is no way to tell if you were truly sorry.
Paranoid: Jonas truly believes in his heart that nobody is up to any good unless he has converted them and they have shown true, severe atonement for their sins. As a result, he tends to be hesitant to let anything about him slip through the exterior of clear blue eyes, only telling people things if he feels they have truly earned it, which is entirely due to horrible mutilation.
Height: 25 inches
Weight: 55 pounds
Appearance: Jonas has an interesting look about him, especially in the facial region. From the side he is nothing more than an oversized-looking blue merle Border Collie. However, staring directly into the face gives a different story, one of near-madness. His face is mostly white, but each bright blue eye is framed by a different patch of color. The right eye is solid black while the left has the same spotted gray as the rest of his coat. Apart from that, Jonas is nearly just what he is said to be: a slightly oversized-looking Border Collie, as if there was nothing else in his blood save for a little bit of Australian Shepherd.
History: You could say that Jonas was born into a religious family, though it was a healthy one. They worshiped an almighty god named Sirius, and Jonas' father Samuel was the prophet of the family. They all looked up to him, the entire family, and there was nothing wrong with them. Once Jonas reached a year of age, he was expected (as the firstborn son) to take up the tradition that his father started and go around preaching, not just in Wolf Creek but through all of southeastern Wisconsin. It was exciting.
Enter Milwaukee. The largest city there, it intimidated Jonas, but he knew that if he could get on a roll he could accomplish it all fairly frequently. The first stop he hit was a nightclub made out of an abandoned church that was called Gold Sky. Jonas stood right on the pulpit and began to deliver a sermon. It was met by silence and then laughter. Then it was met by teeth. "Let's teach the kid a lesson about the way things work in a world without a god," one said. He took the pain for a while but passed out. It was after all the fun was over that they dragged him out to a puddle and left him in a storm.
Jonas heard voices when he was down under, sinister voices. Sirius can't help you now, they whispered. "You're right," he muttered. "Sirius can't help me, but can you?" There he was introduced to Arktos the guardian. Arktos had such sweet words, words teaching him how to cleanse the world of scum and filth. And so with a wicked grin the marionette picked himself back up and decided to scour the earth, fixing it of all imperfections and creating a world suitable for the guardian.
He began in Milwaukee, and now he is back in Wolf Creek.
