Many of our fears are paper thin, and a single courageous step would carry us clear through them.
Times here in [REDACTED], now simply known as "the City" are tough. Gifted related crime is on the rise, and before now many had just turned their head. Was it out of fear? Ignorance? Surely not. After all, it was kind of nice knowing that your bread was made from wheat that the baker had just grown instantly that morning, or you were guaranteed a correct diagnosis because your doctor had X-Ray vision. Most just.. didn't care. Now that they and their loved ones are in danger, however, some have taken up arms. The government has begun to get involved in the rising crime rate due to the peculiar circumstances, but how do you battle those who have super-human powers? Do you get other gifteds to do it? Hire specially trained humans? Train them yourselves?
There's a rumor going around that the government in the City are working on a way to steal powers from the gifteds.. but the cost is still unspeculated. Human lives? The life of the gifted? How would they do it anyway?
